Vidyut Jammwal's Khuda Haafiz Co-Star Aahana Kumra On Not Being Invited For Disney+ Hotstar's Big Announcement, 'First Time I Have Seen Such Behaviour'
Yesterday, Bollywood actor Vidyut Jammwal's tweet on his film getting snubbed from Disney+ Hotstar's big announcement event in regards to a streak of Bollywood biggies releasing on their platform had brewed a storm across social media. Alia Bhatt (Sadak 2), Akshay Kumar (Laxmmi Bomb), Ajay Devgn (Bhuj), Abhishek Bachchan (The Big Bull) and Varun Dhawan (as a moderator) were among the ones invited, while Vidyut Jammwal - Aahana Kumra of Khuda Hafiz and Kunal Kemmu of Lootcase weren't. A disappointing Vidyut wrote how seven films, including his, were scheduled to release but only five were represented.

Now, his co-star Aahana Kumra, in a conversation with Mid Day, reveals that she was shocked about how the OTT platform didn't find them worthy of coming to represent their films, while adding that she didn't bother to ask the reason. She was quoted saying, "I found out about the press conference after seeing Vidyut’s tweet. I have not bothered asking why I wasn’t informed. I know it won’t lead to an answer. The OTT platforms I have worked with have been warm, professional and democratic in how they present you. They pride themselves in equal representation. This is the first time I have seen such behaviour.”

An upset Vidyut's tweet read, "A BIG announcement for sure!! 7 films scheduled for release but only 5 are deemed worthy of representation. 2 films, receive no invitation or intimation. It’s a long road ahead. THE CYCLE CONTINUES.”

Vidyut's tweet only added fuel to the fire surrounding nepotism. Manu celebrities among Randeep Hooda and Genelia D'Souza came forth to support Jammwal.
