Vishva Hindu Parishad Issues A Letter To OTT Platforms Warning Them Against Featuring 'Anti-Hindu' Content - Reports
If the latest reports are anything to go by, Vishva Hindu Parishad has written a letter to Netflix over the alleged anti-Hindu content that the OTT platform serves to its viewers. Vishva Hindu Parishad has sent out a stern warning in this letter and demanded that no shows should portray Hindus in a bad light. Otherwise, the Parishad has warned of strict legal action against the OTT platform along with a peaceful street agitation.

As per a report in News18, the Vishva Hindu Parishad has cited five examples and shows that they find against Hinduism. Shows like Leila, Ghoul, Chippa, Sacred Games and Krishna & His Leela have been marked in the letter along with the names of the producers and directors. The letter pointed out that in the name of 'creative liberty' only Hindu religion is being targeted. VHP Spokesperson Shriraj Nair has also shared that if the OTT platform continues to air such content they "will also be forced to take to the streets for peaceful agitations demanding a ban on your platform".

VHP further claims, "Attempts are being made to create humour through outrageous methods and depictions involving our Gods as well as other historic personalities, thereby purposely undermining and diminishing their image and importance in society. Our Gods are in this manner, being made an object of ridicule," as reported by News18.

In the letter, the Parishad also reminded of the large scale movements it has carried out in the past five years to protect Hinduism. Stay tuned to SpotboyE for more updates.
