Binge Or Cringe: Is MX Player’s New Web Show ‘Only For Singles’ Worthy Enough To Keep Singles Glued?
MX Player’s new show ‘Only for singles’ is a comedy-drama which highlights the various issues the single individuals face in ‘City of Dreams’ in their day-to-day life and especially while searching for a room. The new show portrays the life of single tenants, who face the invasive neighbours, housing woes and everything. ‘Only for singles’ is directed by Samar Iqbal and it is streaming online on MX Player since June 28. The lead actors of the web show include Vivaan Shah aka Mickey and Deepti Divyesh Sati aka RJ or Rachita.

At first, RJ doesn’t want to commit to Mickey who works in a call centre and then after four years, she thinks of reuniting with him, to give another chance. And thus, she rents out her father’s apartment to Mickey and his four friends. And then the hustle-bustle starts. Mickey’s new girlfriend is a Bengali lawyer, Appu (Pooja Banerjee). Rapchik (Shirin Sewani), Harman (Gulshan Nain), Riyaz (Aman Uppal) played pivotal roles in the new web show. In fact, they have also shown that Riyaz (Aman Uppal) being a Muslim is unable to find a room for himself in the maximum city and thus, RJ allows him to stay rent-free in the same apartment.

However, by keeping the Indian culture in mind the makers have shown that the boys and girls are bunking in separate rooms. Many guys and girls will relate themselves with the jokes centring around washing clothes, sharing toothbrushes, washrooms, etc. They have also shown how the bachelor tenants parties at their rented apartments and how the neighbours interfere. Basically, the struggle of every boys and girls in a city like Mumbai.

All the characters of the web show are so perfect that one can easily relate. In fact, all the actors acted well, be it Vivaan, Deepti or Pooja. It is the first digital attempt of Sudhir Sharma as a producer and thus, the show got released under the banner of his Sunshine Production.

Overall, Samar Iqbal’s directorial will make you laugh out loud.

Thus, our verdict is BINGE-WORTHY!
