LOL Hasse Toh Phasse Season 1, starring Arshad Warsi, Boman Irani, Sunil Grover, Mallika Dua, Kusha Kapila, Gaurav Gera, Cyrus Broacha, Suresh Menon, Aakash Gupta, Aadar Malik, Aditi Mittal, and Ankita Shrivastav is a comical version of Big Boss franchise, where all the contestants perform together to defeat one another.

LOL Hasse Toh Phasse Season 1 displays a unique concept attempted for the first time on Indian television. This topic is a renowned franchise overseas and thus rocketed in India too. 10 prominent comedians are placed in a house, their task is to make fellow comedians laugh, meanwhile keeping a straight face themselves. The hosts Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani will keep a close watch on the contestants while they perform and enter the house to unmask the person who smiled or laughed. The contestants have to try all possible ways to make others laugh with their jokes and improv comedy. If the contestants smile for the first time he/she will be given a yellow card as a warning and if the person is caught laughing then the contestant receives a red card which means he/she gets eliminated from the race.

The contestants are given 6 hours to defeat as many people as possible while retaining themselves till the end. Showtime is declared with a contestant’s name under it who has to perform his best to make others laugh. After the showtime is over, the contestants get a gap of a few minutes when they can freely laugh. These scenes themselves are more comical than the competition. A show like this is the need of the hour and is definitely a masterpiece combined with laughter streaks. Amazon Prime Video exhibits yet another chuckle some attack after Comicstaan. The contestants also have the luxury to dress up as their favorite characters and amuse the whole house. Throughout the show, the contestants have taken various get-ups to entertain contestants as well as the audience.

LOL Hasse Toh Phasse is certainly a relief from regular saas-bahu shows and a good try for people since The Kapil Sharma Show is suspended for a few months. Comedians like Gaurav Gera, Cyrus Broacha, Suresh Menon, and Sunil Grover who have already established themselves with their comical timings are a treat to watch. These 4 comedians are hilarious when it comes to choosing their theme or act for the performance. Mallika Dua and Kusha Kapila are good, but they seem to shoot a video on their social media rather than performing for the show. Aditi Mittal seems too loud and her acts seem over or forced. Ankita Shrivastav is not much seen and is overshadowed by other contestants. Internet sensation Aadar Malik presents a good show with his performance establishing his place in the top 3. Aakash Gupta, the joint winner of Comicstaan Season 2 was a little awkward seeing pro comedian around but kept going with his comical genius and successfully kept a straight face.

The 10 contestants were under pressure as they had to keep a straight face and overcome every step. Comedy kings Arshad and Boman were the only ones who thoroughly enjoyed their time and had a blast. After elimination, each contestant joins them in the room where they sit to keep a tab on the other contestants. The eliminated contestants and the duo hosts had more fun while watching the top 3 performings. The finale is the highlight of the whole show where the top 3 compete with one another for the last time using all their wits, jokes, and masterstroke gags saved for the end. The winner goes home with a trophy and 25 lakhs cash prize. To brighten your weekend lockdown and find out who the winner is, tune in to LOL Hasse Toh Phasse streaming now only on Amazon Prime Video.
