Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got everyone talking when rumours of their impending wedding started making headlines. It was on October 21, 2018, when DeepVeer confirmed their wedding and informed one and all that they are finally getting married. The couple tied the knot at Lake Como, Italy, on November 14 and 15 following Konkani and Sindhi rituals. Their wedding was followed by three receptions- one in Dippy's hometown Bangalore and two in Mumbai.
But before her big day, Deepika too was facing wedding blues, just like every other bride. The Chennai Express met dietician and nutritionist Shweta Shah ahead of her D-Day. Shweta planned her pre-wedding diet which made her the glowing and prettiest bride shining bright in Sabyasachi couture. Revealing to Brides India Today, Shweta Shah said any bride should have a pills-free healthy life. Celebrity Nutritionist revealed that Deepika has 'pitta prakruti' which means fire one of the five elements.
Shweta Shah told portal, "One basic rule for anyone with 'pitta prakruti' is to never skip breakfast or go hungry for extensive periods of time." Spilling the beans on her meals, Shah revealed that Happy New Year actress' breakfast comprised of her favourite ingredients such as coconut, nuts, oats, rice, and lentils. She further added, "Pongal, porridge, upma, boiled and sautéed red lentils tossed in cooling herbs including mint, cilantro, and fennel, or purple cabbage along with millet seeds and a side of green salad were frequent flyers on the menu."
"A mid-morning snack of 1 fruit—barring a few—and vegetable juice kept Deepika's acidic tendencies at bay until lunch. Lunch was usually a roti (Indian flat bread) with a bowl of cooked veggies – again carefully planned keeping in mind her preferences. Evening snacks offered a choice of beetroot tikki, zucchini kebabs, herbed humus, and a few other tasty treats. Ash gourd juice and chutney rounded off her meals and snacks," added Shweta.
As per online portal, during her pre-wedding diet Deepika kick-started her days with a tbsp. of soaked saunf (fennel) seeds, along with sipping on cooling drinks such as oats and green detox smoothies, throughout the day. Not only that, keeping Deepika's love for Italian and Mexican food in mind, Shweta suggested her quinoa and rice.
