Bollywood wives have kick-started the rituals of the most awaited festival Karwa Chauth. Today evening we saw Shilpa Shetty, Rima Jain, Raveena Tandon, Neelam Kothari and a few more at Anil Kapoor’s residence to bring in the festivities. While here we saw all the Bollywood bahus and wives fulfilling their duties by fasting for the long lives and safety of their husbands, on the contrary, we saw few actors promoting #fastforher on the social media platforms for their beloved wives.

Joining the bandwagon are star cricketers Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Both the cricketers took to their respective Instagram handles to express gratitude towards their loving wives. While Rohit penned an emotional message for wife Ritika Sajdeh saluting her for being a hands-on mother to their daughter and asked the moon show up a little early today. Ritika too replied to his post with emojis of hearts and a lot of food items. Rohit’s post read, “Happy Karwa Chauth my love. I know how hard it is when you have an infant around and don’t have me around. Love you to the moon and back. Speaking of which, MOON show your face a little earlier today ”



Also penning an emotional post for his better half Aesha Dhawan, Shikhar Dhawan wished her on Karwa Chauth and others as well. His Instagram post read, “Happy #KarwaChauth my love, you are far but still always close to me. Cannot wait to see you soon. love u lots. @aesha.dhawan5 Wishing all other married couples as well. May God bless you all with a peaceful long life together"


Coming back to BollywoodOn the occasion of Karwa Chauth, Sonakshi Sinha in her Rajjo avatar wished her fans. Her post read, “Rajjo Pandey yaani ki Mrs. Chulbul Pandey ki oar se aap sabhi pativrata aur #Dabangg patniyo ko Happy Karwa Chauth #RajjoKaKarwaChauth”
 
Both the cricketers are touring India due to the on-going test cricket matches against South Africa. The tournament is expected to go till the end of October.
