This year i.e., in 2019, Diwali- Laxmi Puja is going to be celebrated on Sunday, October 27, 2019 i.e today. However, in some states, it will be celebrated on Monday i.e., October 28.

Apart from lights, paper art and flowers for decoration, there is also a special tradition of making Rangoli. The auspicious muhurat to buy gold and silver this Dhanteras is divided into three stages Tridashi Muhurat. Muhurat for purchase of metals begins from the morning at 7:30 am goes on till 19:30 pm. The time slot to buy are as follows-  7:07 am to 9:15 am – 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm – 5:35 pm to 07:30 pm.
