Every year June 21 is celebrated world music day. And as the day is round the corner, we are here to tell you how music also helps to be fit and healthy.



Music is consider as therapeutic remedy for mental ailment. Mental disorder or tension can be cured to an extent through music.

Best for releasing mental illness: Music calms mind and also soothes brain functions. Study says that it can release dopamine, a chemical that creates a sense of pleasure. 

Good music helps in our concentration. And then you can excel wherever you want. Music helps in controlling blood pressure, breathing, even reduces anxiety. 

The day is celebrated over 130 countries. In 1981, Minister of Culture of France Jack Lang had appointed Maurice Fleuret as Director of Music and Dance. They planned to bring out musicians on the streets to spread awareness about the music. And from then June 21, 1982, the first Fête de la Musique was organized in Paris
