Akshay Bardapurkar Teams Up With Sonalee Kulkarni To Present First-Ever Regional Interactive Web Film 'Hakamari'
The Planet Marathi is ready to amaze the audience with their first-ever web film, as CMD Akshay Bardapurkar teams up with actress Sonalee Kulkarni to present their regional interactive web film, Hakamari.
Planet Marathi, the official Filmfare partners in 2021 have been a huge name in the Marathi film industry. The production house has given the Marathi audience powerful Marathi content. With a dream to create a global platform for Marathi content and creators, Planet Marathi recently launched the first-ever Marathi OTT. Now they have geared up to amaze their fans with their first-ever web-film named Hakamari.
The web-film Hakamari is based on the horror novel of writer Rushikesh Gupte. Famous for his novels like Danshkaal, Ghangard, Andharvari, Daityalay, etc. Rushikesh has given many hit novels that won him the Sahitya Parishad Award. To experience the film-adaptation of one of his novels will surely be something enormous to look forward to.
Announcing their first web film, the Planet Marathi has joined hands with actress Sonalee Kulkarni who’s going to debut as a producer with brother Atul Kulkarni under the banner of The Fledgers Entertainment. Being a renowned and multi-talented actress, Sonalee has ceaselessly amazed her fans with her flawless acting and dancing skills. The award-winning actress has recently won the Filmfare Award 2021, for her superhit historical drama Hirkani. Talking about her venture as a producer, the actress said that even before becoming an actress she was a producer. She wants to offer her audience the vast content that the Marathi industry has. Thus, she feels that Planet Marathi is the best platform that she could’ve collaborated with.
Talking about the web-film, the filmmakers haven’t revealed many details yet. But the film is said to be directed by award-winning director Sameer Vidwans. Having given many super hit films like Anandi Gopal, Time Please, Double Seat, etc. director Sameer is going to venture into the horror genre of the cinema for the first time. The director recently won the Filmfare Award as Best Director for his film Anandi Gopal. With his amazing direction and creativity in the field of cinema, the director has never failed to entertain his audience. He has taken this new challenge to direct a horror film, we can be sure that his work will surely be a record-breaker.
As Planet Marathi is finally making its move, CMD Akshay commented that 'the team is exhilarated to be working with the industry's great minds on a project so diverse that it is sure to challenge the way web films in the suspense genre have been made.'
