Ever since the launch of the first look, fans have been curious to know more about the story of Bonus. How does their story start? Where does this romance lead to? And most importantly why is an upscale young man moving into the Koliwada life?

While the first poster of the film didn’t tell much about the story, we can certainly say that Gashmeer and Pooja’s romance is set into the koliwada lifestyle of Mumbai.

The recent trailer shows how in the film Bonus, Pooja is a Koli girl while Gashmeer is a boy who moves into their settlement. Gashmeer gets into a bet with his business tycoon father that the inefficient staff doesn’t need a bonus. His father poses a challenge, if he is able to survive in the lifestyle of Mumbai’s poor settlements, he will agree to his bet and waive off the bonus. Gashmeer is determined to prove his father wrong and he lands up in the Koliwada. What happens next is the story of Bonus.

In the video, you can see Gashmeer lost in the crowd, walking through the narrow lanes of the settlement. He is trying to light the traditional gas and clean the dusty cramped room. In one of the videos, you can also see him selling footwear and earning daily wages in a retail shop. From the looks of it, he is an outsider who is not used to the struggle of Mumbai’s Koliwada life.

The critically acclaimed famous screenplay writer Saurabh Bhave has already given his special touch to many a great project of the Hindi and Marathi films like ‘Pipsi: A Bottle Full of Hope’, ‘Hrudayantar’, ‘Hawaizaada’ (Hindi), ‘Haapus’ and more.
