Godavari Release Postponed Indefinitely: Jitendra Joshi Makes Announcement On Behalf Of The Team
Actor Jitendra Joshi shares a post on his social media handles making an announcement regarding the postponement in the release date of his upcoming blockbuster Godavari. Read further to know more.
Nikhil Mahajan's directorial upcoming blockbuster Godavari has everyone excited for it. Produced under the banner of Jitendra Joshi Pictures, the film stars renowned actors like veteran actress Neena Kulkarni, Priyadarshan Jadhav, Gauri Nalawde, Sakhi Gokhale, Sanjay Mone, and Jitendra himself. Initially, the film was scheduled to release on the Maharashtra Divas, 30th of April, this year. Due to the sudden rise in COVID cases, various new COVID-19 guidelines have been announced by the Maharashtra government. According to the new guidelines, all the theatres in Maharashtra have been shut down leading to disruption in the film industry.
Thus, addressing the changes in the film's release, actor Jitendra Joshi took to his Insta to share a post.
In his post, the actor said that his film Godavari has been designated for a theatrical experience. And to keep it that way only so that people would be able to enjoy the film in theatres, the team of Godavari has decided to postpone the release of the film. There aren't any details about the exact release date, as the team is yet to decide on it. And looking at their decision it seems like the team will be taking further decisions by taking the recent conditions of the state into consideration. As mentioned by Jitendra himself, the team is waiting for the situation to calm down. Writing further the actor asked everyone to take care of themselves and follow the new COVID-19 guidelines. And he ended the announcement by saying "Team Godavari will see you soon, ONLY in cinemas.".
