Just like every other citizen, even the Marathi film and TV celebrities have expressed grief on the inhuman act of killing an innocent pregnant elephant. The incident occurred in  Malappuram in Kerala, where a couple of hooligans fed a hungry elephant with a pineapple laced with explosive fireworks. The 15-year-old pregnant elephant stood for hours in water dying a slow and agonizing death. The local authorities did their best to try and help her but she met an unfortunate death.
