June: Siddharth Menon Bags The Best Actor Award At The New York Indian Film Festival
The New York Indian film festival for the year 2021 concluded on June 13 in a virtual format due to the pandemic. A total of 58 films were screened at the NYYI festival including documentaries, series, shorts, and many more. The festival screened films in Assamese, Bengali, English, Hindi, Kannada, Kashmiri, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Nepali, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. 

Siddharth Menon and Nehha Pendse’s ‘June’ was one of the many movies that got nominated for two awards respectively best picture and best actor (male) at the new york Indian film festival. The hosts of the show announced the winners at the virtual online meet and they revealed that Siddharth Melon has bagged the award for best actor. After getting rewarded with such a precious award, Siddharth Menon took to his Twitter to thank everyone who has worked with him in the movie by saying,’’ Thank you so much @nyindianff ... the Jury..all those who watched the film.. such an honor.. this one for the entire team of JUNE..there is no NEEL without you all..The film releases in India on @PlanetMOTT this month.. stay tuned for the date thanks once again @chhabs.’’ 

June is a coming-of-age drama set in Aurangabad. Drawing from writer-producer Nikhil Mahajan's own childhood and of those known to him, June is a soaring portrait of two troubled people who help each other heal. The film is set to release this year.
