Marathi filmmaker, Samit Kakkad has gifted the film industry with memorable and inspiring movies including, Aayna Ka Bayna and Half Ticket. He recently made his Hindi web series debut by directing the popular web series, Indori Ishq.

Indori Ishq which got released on 10th June is still receiving the same amount of love and views it did at the start. Now the latest is that the romance, crime and thrilling web series 'Indori Ishq' has officially crossed 81 million only in one and a half months after its release. The director, Samit Kakkad recently took to his Twitter and shared this beautiful and proud moment with his fans and the audience of Indori Ishq. He tweeted a poster of the web series along with an image clapper's board of the 9th episode and wrote, "81 Million + Views #IndoriIshq @MXPlayer #SamitKakkadFilms" 

The story of Indori Ishq begins with amusing attempts of twelfth-grader, Kunal, to woo his classmate, Tara. Kunal finally manages to propose to Tara and their love story begins. After his schooling, Kunal leaves Indore and moves to Mumbai to join a Naval College. Soon his sober life turns upside-down when Tara dumps him for someone else. In no time, Kunal turns into an alcoholic and chain smoker, and without taking admission in the naval college, he moves to a weird rundown room in Darukhana, spending days doing nothing but drinking, smoking, and missing Tara. Later Kunal gets played by Tara once again as things turn up against his fate.

Every love story has its story of a hero and heroine. The meeting, separation, and ups and downs of both complete the love story. But the love story in which the girlfriend cheats on the lover, such a story is rarely seen. The MX Original series “Indouri Ishq” directed by Samit Kakkar is one such story of a small-town boy. In which the lover is betrayed by his childhood love. Ritvik Sahor and Vedika Bhandari have played the lead roles in this 9 episode drama. The web series is currently available on the OTT platform MX Player.
