Planet Marathi Commences The Shoot Of Its First Ever Web Series
Planet Marathi recently commenced the shoot of its first-ever Marathi Web series, find out what the director and producer have to say about their new venture.
The wait is finally over with the first-ever Marathi OTT platform "Planet Marathi" being launched this year. With the sole intention of giving the Marathi audience a platform to view the best of Marathi content under a single umbrella, Planet Marathi OTT has vowed to redefine Marathi entertainment. Recently the banner has started the shoot of its first-ever Marathi Web series. Although the name of the series is still unknown, the series has actors like Mrunmayee Deshpande, Shashank Ketkar, and Abhijeet Khandkekar in the lead roles, with actor Anand Ingle having a guest appearance. Under the banner of Viplava Entertainment, the series is produced by Santosh Gujrathi with Mayuresh Joshi being the director. Previously Viplava Entertainment has given the audience many popular series like Rudram, Katti Batti, and hit plays like Knock Knock Celebrity.
Being an amazing director Mayuresh has blessed the audience with various creative series. Therefore it looks like the audience will get to see something different this time as well. Expressing his thoughts over the beginning of the shoot, the director said, "Everyone is excited for the shoot, we started the shoot today. The team is well known to me, so it is going to be fun to work with them. Mrinmayee, Shashank, and Abhijeet are all talented actors, so it is going to be easy working with them." Talking about Web series he added, "We're not going to reveal the title yet, but it's an extraordinary love story. Which will be seen in Marathi for the first time. Mainly we're glad that this series will be premiered on the one and only platform of Marathi OTT Planet Marathi. It is every director's dream to showcase his art across the world, and Planet Marathi OTT just makes us global." the director said.
Adding to this, Planet Marathi's CMD, Akshay Bardapurkar said, "We've always focused on the ones who provide quality and creative content. We are ecstatic that the shoot of our first Web series has begun. From the beginning everyone was excited about Planet Marathi. Therefore, we're trying to fulfil every expectation of the audience and we assure fans, we'll continue to do so in the future."
Thus, this web series will surely meet the expectations of the audience. Marathi industry has gained a great platform, one that will be compared to the OTT platforms like Netflix, Hotstar, Amazon, and many more.
