Although Riteish Deshmukh’s work extensively has been in Bollywood, he is a marathi-mulga at heart. Akshay Kumar’s new film ‘Mission Mangal’ has a poem called ‘Yeh Sindoor’, this poem is also made in Marathi. The diction and clarity with which Akshay has executed this poem is amazing. Riteish appreciated this and shared the video on his IGTV feed today.

This poem is about appreciating the spirit of the women who multitask on a daily basis. They manage the work and life balance while managing to venture into territories as far as space and other planets. This poem is a salute to women who made India proud. A Marathi version of this poem is certainly an ode of respect to Marathi audience.


Marathi veteran actor Vikram Gokhale will be seen playing a prominent role in the film. This film depicts the journey of the scientists at Indian Space Research Organization who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission.
