The mystery unfolds on 15th August with the official release but we are certain that Amruta Subhash will play the role of RAW agent Kusum Devi Yadav. What role she plays to help Sartaj unveil the sinister plan of corrupt ministers, police officers, gangsters and their allies is something we will have to find out in the series.
Amruta shared the picture of her photo shoot for Sacred Games on her timeline. She is dressed in an off-shoulder olive green cocktail gown with minimal accessories that do the talking. Amruta looks ravishing as she poses for the camera.
Sacred games is being directed by Masaan director Neeraj Ghaywan and Anurag Kashyap. Apart from Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan in the leading roles, the series also stars Kalki Koechlin, Pankaj Tripathi, Ranvir Shorey, Luke Kenny, Surveen Chawla and Jatin Sarna.
This story is based on Vikram Chandra's 2006 novel ‘Sacred Games’ where Sartaj Singh, police inspector in Mumbai police who is seemingly disturbed and on support of sleeping pills is waiting for a noteworthy case to prove his mettle. One day he receives an anonymous phone call from Ganesh Gaitonde, God of the underworld who is the most sought after criminal. He tells Singh that he has 25 days to save this city. The chain of events unfold the dark side of our political and social system that will send shivers down the spine.
Amruta’s role as a RAW agent may be small but acts as a catalyst in the progression of Sartaj’s investigation.
