Birthday boy, Ajay Gogavale is an inseparable part of the 'Ajay-Atul' duo of singers and musicians. Ajay is the younger brother of Atul and the voice behind most of the tracks which require a raw regional touch.
Coming from a humble background Ajay-Atul self-trained themselves in music. After coming to Mumbai, 'Vishwavinayaka' was the first track by the Ajay-Atul brothers which proved to be a big break that paved their way to Marathi film industry and Bollywood. Apart from commercials jingles and advertisements, Ajay-Atul worked on several non-film projects to polish their skills.
'Agabai Arrecha' was the first commercial break of Ajay-Atul, with hits like 'Man Udhan Varyache', 'Malhar Vari'. The popular song 'Kombdi' established Ajay-Atul as unique composers, musicians and singers after which, there was no looking back with 'Savarkhed Ek Gaon', 'Natrang', 'Fandry', 'Lai Bhari', 'Mauli' and 'Sairat'.
They are one of the few Marathi music composers, musicians and singers whose multiple songs were adapted in Hindi for a remake due to their originality in raw Marathi vibe. 'Chikni Chameli', 'Zingat', 'Mera Naam Mary' are recreations of their Marathi songs.
Ajay-Atul's Hindi works have garnered a lot of attention and now every director wants to work with this magical musician duo. Their Hindi career started with 'Viruddh... Family Comes First' and grew with super hits in films like, 'Singham', 'Agneepath', 'Bol Bachchan', 'PK', 'Dhadak', 'Zero'.
Ajay Atul duo will also be giving music to upcoming historic period drama, 'Panipat' by Ashutosh Gowariker.
