Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, Shalmali is religiously following the self-quarantine and social distancing. She was looking forward to the Janta Curfew and was overwhelmed by the response of the people standing in their balconies and praising the unsung heroes of our country who are working day and night to keep India healthy.
Shalmali couldn’t resist her tears and welled up upon the response coming from every household. She shared a heartfelt message with her fans on Instagram.
She writes, “ou made me weep with pride and happiness today - as you stood in your balconies and terraces and clapped. This is our strength. UNITY. Not meaningless quarrels over religion, sex, caste and such. You made me believe, once again, in the beauty of this diverse nation! Bharat Mata Ki Jai !! #jantacurfew”.
Shalmali who has recently released her Gaana single Ruka Ruka and its music video feature Aparshakti Khurana with her in a take on modern relationships is a sentimental and passionate artist.
