Due to the sudden rise in COVID cases, theatres have been closed off all over Maharashtra. Just as things were looking good and everything was slowly getting normal, the pandemic became more fatal. Thus, many theatre actors and lovers are feeling missing the Marathi Rangabhoomi. An accurate example of this can be seen in renowned actor Umesh Kamat’s latest Instagram post.
Reminiscing through the rehearsal days of his play, the actor recently took to his Insta to share a video from his backstage rehearsal.
Seeing actors Rishi Manohar, Adwait Dadarkar, Kalyani Pathare, and Arti More in the frame, this looks like the rehearsal of their famous Marathi play Dada Ek Good News Aahe. As Umesh tagged Hruta Durgule, giving her the video credit it confirmed the play. As we can see in this video the team is having so much fun while rehearsing. Unmesh writes in his caption that Sunday’s call for the theatre rehearsal time. And it brings with it all the joy and happy memories from the rehearsal. And describing the reason behind everyone’s laughter in this video, the actor said that when it came to a particular dialogue Rishi and he would start laughing even if they make eye contact, further making everyone laugh. He also said that Adwait who’s the director of the play stopped the rehearsal as Rishi and Umesh wouldn’t stop laughing during the rehearsal. Sharing such a happy memory with us, the actor must’ve made his fans relive all the memories from the theatre performance.
Meanwhile, on the work front, the actor will soon be appearing on the silver screen with his upcoming Marathi biopic, Taath Kana based on the life of the world’s renowned neurosurgeon Dr. P.S. Ramani.
