Salim shared the secrets behind songs like O Re Piya from the film Aaja Nachle, Ye Hausla from the film Dor, Maula Mere Lele Meri Jaan from the movie Chak De India and several other super hit songs.
The song O Re Piya from the film Aaja Nachle was a big hit but no one was ever aware of the fact that the song was composed and made in a time frame of a day. The line ‘O Re Piya’ was cracked by Salim himself, during the making of the song. At that time, lyricist Jaideep Sahni had told Salim that he will make sure the line is added in the lyrics of the song because he liked it a lot.
The song Maula Mere Lele Meri Jaan from Chak De India was not going to be a part of the movie. Salim shared that they were planning to play another heavy background track during the scene in the movie where India wins the match. But then, late filmmaker-producer Yash Chopra mentioned that the song should be in the scene where the Indian team returns after having won the match. Then, the song Maula Mere Lele Meri Jaan went on to be a super hit.
As Salim-Sulaiman’s songs have a different type of energy, positivity, the singer also mentioned how a friend of his was motivated with the song Yeh Hausla.
