Sukhbir Singh, who introduced Punjabi pop culture in India revealed how the song Taare Gin Gin was made. He shared how the lyricist Kumaar penned the lyrics of the song. Sukhbir Singh revealed that Kumaar had written the song keeping a sad situation in his mind. The singer mentioned how he composed the song with beats. He continued to share that Kumaar got really upset and told Sukhbir Singh that he has destroyed his career before it took off. But, after the release of the song, it broke records and was a huge hit.
