Famous singer Udit Narayan’s son, Aditya Narayan got
involved in an accident where his car hit an auto-rickshaw, last evening at 5:30
pm in Andheri West. The actor was detained by Mumbai’s Versova police under IPC 279 and 338.
However, late night he
was granted bail. While the passenger escaped the incident with minor injuries,
the rickshaw driver is in a serious condition. He has been admitted in ICU at
Kokilaben Hosiptal.
The singer was also
taken for a medical test to check if he was under the influence of alcohol
but the reports were negative.
The accident happened at
Lokhandwala Backroad where the singer was reportedly driving his Mercedes quite
rashly. Aditya took the injured to a nearby hospital, but the two still pressed
charges against him.
This is not the first
time that Aditya’s name has been dragged in a controversy. Not too long ago,
Aditya was in the news when he got abusive with Indigo airlines staffer. We had also written an open letter to Udit Narayan then asking
him to get a hold of his son’s high-handedness and aggressive attitude.
Meanwhile, the doctors
at the hospital will soon check the driver to confirm any improvement in his
