Amaal Mallik replaces Sachin-Jigar in Kangana’s Simran

Hansal Mehta has roped in Amaal Mallik to compose music for Simran, his upcoming film starring Kangana Ranaut in the main role.

SpotboyE.com has it that Amaal was not the filmmaker’s original choice. Hansal had first reached out to composer duo Sachin-Jigar and even gave them 3 months to work on the tracks. However, the duo could not meet the deadline due to prior commitments.

Very soon, Sachin-Jigar’s loss became Amaal’s gain.
Says a source close to Hansal, “Hansalji had given Sachin-Jigar 3 months to compose the scratch of the songs, but they could complete only one track. Hansalji could not afford to give them more time as Kangana is already in the US to shoot for the film. So, at the eleventh hour, he roped in Amaal.”
