Amaal Mallik to undergo knee surgery
Singer-composer Amaal Mallik will undergo knee surgery in the first week of May. Amaal suffered a ligament tear in his knee during his live shows, some months ago.

Confirming the news, Amaal said, "I wanted a holiday but didn't expect that the break will come in this manner."
The exact date of the operation is however yet to be finalised.
Added Amaal, "The doctors at Kolilaben Ambani Hospital have recommended the surgery. Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala will be conducting it."
When asked if the surgery will hamper his work, he promptly replied, "I have an entire studio set-up at home. There have been times that I have composed songs on my laptop inside an aircraft. Work will not suffer."
