Anandji, one half of the famous Kalyanji - Anandji duo, had been hospitalised due to a chronic infection. He was in the hospital from the first week, May till the first week of June.

He was treated by Dr. Zarir Udwadia, who is a renowned chest physician at Breach Candy Hospital. Lyricist Sameer Anjaan, who had visited him to the hospital said, “Yes he was unwell and I had gone to meet him at the hospital. Both the brothers had been very close to my father, which is why I share a very special bond with the family.”
Jab Se Tere Naina lyricist also reminisced about the moments he shared with the duo when he accompanied his father, Anjaan at the studio.
“Kalyanji - Anandji’s body of work is commendable. They had some amazing sense of music and would never hesitate in giving an opportunity to a new talent.”
