Badshah Issues Apology For Using ‘Bholenath’ In His Song ‘Sanak’; Says, ‘Taken Proactive Measures To Change Some Parts’
On Friday, musician Badshah made it to the headlines when an individual from The Parshuram Sena had filed a complaint against him at the MG Road police station in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. It had been reported that the rapper had hurt religious sentiments by using Bholenath, a word that describes Lord Shiva in his new song Sanak that had objectionable lyrics. Days after the complaint, he has now taken to his official social media handle to issue an apology.

Taking to Instagram, through his post the 40-year-old singer expressed that he would never willingly or unknowingly cause offence towards anyone’s sentiments. He revealed his creations and music compositions are made for his fans with his utmost sincerity and passion. Badshah explained that he has actioned a replacement for the new version of his song on all digital platforms. Quoted by Indian Express, he added. “The replacement process takes a few days before the changes will reflect on all platforms, I request everyone to be patient during this period. I humbly offer my sincerest apologies to those whom I may have unknowingly hurt. My fans remain my bedrock, and I shall always hold them in the highest esteem and with boundless affection. For the unversed, Sanak was released in March 2023 and had garnered over 22 million views on Badshah’s official YouTube channel alone. On the work front, Badshah has had a fruitful career as his songs Garmi, Jugnu, Paagal, DJ Wale Babu and many more are still widely loved by the audience.
