Last year will go down in history as the year where all humans had to find ways to do all their work from home in a unique way. The lockdown forced even our industry people, who are used to exotic locations, dubbing and recording studios and elaborate sets, to shoot and record from the comfort of their living rooms.
One of those artists was singer Sunidhi Chauhan, who had two popular songs that released last year, including Sushant Singh Rajput’s swan song, Dil Bechara’s Maskhari and Vidya Balan starrer Shakuntala Devi’s Paas Nahi To Fail Nahi. In a conversation with Spotboye.com, the singer recalled her unique experience of recording for the latter.
“I have the memory of recording Paas Nahi To Fail Nahi at my home. I was in my nightgown as I didn’t have to get ready and go to the studio. I had my son, Teg in my lap while I was recording and he found that song very interesting. As I was rehearsing the song, he would start singing the part “Oh Oh Oh Oh…” as soon as I was singing it. He was so into it that I had to wait for him to stop and then tell him to stay silent while I was giving the final take,” Sunidhi recalls gleefully.
Sunidhi recently had an English single release, Here Is Beautiful, in which she collaborated with Shalmali. The singer also has her next Hindi song releasing on April 23, and a line up of songs that she is really excited to bring out to the world. “With OTT, there are a lot of new things happening and I can taste that change in my new songs,” she concludes.
