Himesh Reshammiya’s Next Single To Feature India’s Unsung Musicians

We were the first ones to tell you about Himesh Reshammiya composing a single (Himesh Reshammiya goes single!, Jan 5). Now, we have come across some interesting details about the track.

We hear, the single, titled Jewels Of India, will include all genres of music. Says a source, “Folk, classical, jazz, qawali ... it will have everything. The aim is to bring artistes from across India under one roof and present a variety of music to the audience.”

Also, actors will not be a part of the track. The source adds, “The idea is to bring musicians to the forefront. When actors appear on screen, they hog the limelight and musicians get sidelined. That’s why Himeshji came up with this idea.” The track is still being penned and we have it that the shooting will commence by September.

Meanwhile, looks like the single is not the only thing that’s keeping Himesh busy. SpotboyE.com had told you that after Aap Kaa Surroor (2007) and Teraa Surroor (March, 2016), Himesh is planning a third instalment of the franchise (Himesh Reshammiya planning Teraa Surroor 3?, July 17

Himesh, we hear, is extremely pleased with the response his March release has garnered and wants to come out with another ‘Surroor’ story.
