Kumar Sanu's daughter Shannon K reveals she slipped into depression and even self-harmed her due to online trolling!
Kumar Sanu's daughter Shannon K in a new interview has made some shocking revelations. She revealed that she was deeply affected due to online trolls and even slipped into depression. Not just that, Shannon harmed herself after she was targeted by trolls commenting on her while growing up. The singer called it the biggest mistake of her life and mentioned it was a very hard and dark phase. Shannon now aims to help all the others who are struggling.
Speaking with India Today, Shannon stated, “I was 14 or 15 years old and I was fresh on social media. So, I was fresh baked to all the trolls who commented anything on me. At that time, I was very naïve and vulnerable so I took it all very seriously. That was my biggest mistake. It got so much into my head that I went into depression and I self-harmed. It was a very hard and dark phase.” Adding to this, she asserted she was lucky that she had her family and friends to pull her out of that darkness and now she wants to help others who are dealing with the same. Shannon is Kumar Sanu's adopted daughter with his wife Saloni Bhattacharya. She began her music career with the pop single ‘A Long Time’ in 2018. Shannon has also collaborated with Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam and released a love song titled “OMT” in November 2018. She later debuted as an actor in the Hollywood movie ‘The Big Feed’, which was released in 2020.
Shannon is now venturing into Bollywood with Vivek Sharma's upcoming film Chal Zindagi.
