A few days ago, it was reported that music composer Shravan Rathod of Nadeem-Shravan fame had contracted Coronavirus and was admitted to a hospital. His condition had been critical, and he was on a ventilator. Unfortunately, last night, Shravan Rathod passed away due to COVID-19 complications. The news of his death was confirmed by filmmaker Anil Sharma. As soon as the heartbreaking news of Shravan Rathod’s demise surfaced, celebrities from the music industry such as AR Rahman, Shreya Ghoshal, Kumar Sanu and others mourned his demise.

AR Rahman took to his Twitter and wrote, “Our Music community and your fans will miss you immensely #ShravanRathod ji Rest in peace Respect and Prayers.” Kumar Sanu shared a picture of Shravan Rathod on his Instagram account, and captioned it, “Heartbreaking news about my very dear friend Shravanji....I have no words!! May God gives strength to the family. Rip #shravanrathod Ji.” Shreya Ghoshal tweeted, “Shocked to hear the news of Shravan ji (of Nadeem Shravan) passing away. A genuine humble human being and one of the biggest composers of our music industry. Another huge loss in this pandemic. God give strength to the bereaved family. Rest in peace." Vishal Dadlani tweeted, “That's terrible news! :( #ShravanRathod ji will live on through the music. Nadeem-Shravan didn't just have popular songs. They had their own era!”

Mika Singh, Armaan Malik, Salim Merchant, Pritan, Adnan Sami also expressed their grief over the demise of Shravan Rathod.


Meanwhile, Bollywood celebrities Akshay Kumar, Jaaved Jaaferi, Manoj Bajpayee also took to their social media to express their grief. Akshay Kumar wrote, “Very sad to know about the passing of music composer Shravan. Nadeem-Shravan created magic for many films in 90s and later, including Dhadkan that has remained legendary in my career. Deepest Condolences to his family."


Shravan Rathod’s demise is a huge loss to the music industry. Shravan, along with Nadeem, has composed music for several films back in the 90s. They composed soundtracks for films such as Aashiqui, Saajan, Phool Aur Kaante, Sadak, Deewana, Dhadkan, Kasoor, among many others.
