Sonu Nigam's Father Agamkumar Nigam ROBBED Of Rs 72 Lakhs; FIR Registered Against His Former Driver Rehan
It is being reported that Rehan allegedly entered Agamkumar Nigam's home using a spare key, in his absence, and stole Rs 72 lakhs
Renowned Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam's father Agamkumar Nigam and his younger sister Nikita have registered an FIR against their former driver Rehan. The case was filed under the suspicion that the driver entered the older man's house using a duplicate key and stole Rs 72 lakhs from his digital locker. As reported by DNA, Nigam lives at Windsor Grand building in Oshiwara, Andheri, Mumbai.
The media publication reports that the alleged theft took place between March 19 and 20. On Wednesday, Nikita approached the Oshiwara police station with the complaint of theft. As per the complaint, Rehan was removed from his job recently, nearly 8 months after he joined, as his performance was not satisfactory. It is being reported that on Sunday afternoon Agamkumar had visited his daughter’s home in Versova for lunch. In the evening he called her to inform that Rs 40 lakhs were missing from his digital locker that he kept in his wooden cupboard. The next day, on Monday, the senior citizen had visited her son’s home in 7 Bungalows for a visa-related issue. When he returned, he found that another Rs 32 lakhs was missing from the locker. DNA quoted an official stating that there was no damage done to the locker. After checking the CCTV footage of the society, they found Rehan going towards Nigam’s flat on both the days with a bag, when the senior citizen was away. As per the complaint, Agamkumar suspects that Rehan entered the flat with a duplicate key and stole the money for the locker. The Oshiwara police have registered a FIR under sections 380, 454, and 457 for theft and trespassing for housebreaking of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The investigation for the same is underway.
