Sonakshi showcases her killer streak in the latest Akira song

The makers of Akira have just launched a new track from the film, and it features Sonakshi Sinha in an unprecedented fierce avatar. The song, titled Rajj Rajj Ke, has been sung by Sonakshi herself. Composed by Vishal-Shekhar, the track’s lyrics have been penned by Manoj Muntashir.

Akira, which has Sona playing the title role, also stars Konkona Sen Sharma and Anurag Kashyap in lead roles. It’s the first film where Sonakshi will be sharing screenspace with her father Shatrughan Sinha.

The film, which is a remake of the Tamil hit Mouna Guru (2011), has been produced and directed by A.R. Murugadoss. This will be his third directorial venture in Bollywood after Ghajini (2008) and Holiday (2014).

Coming back to the music of the film, did you know that Amit Trivedi was the original choice and not Vishal-Shekhar? However, the composer turned down the offer, as he was tied up with Udta Punjab and Manmarziyan.

Confirming the news to SpotboyE.com, the singer-composer said,  “Yes, I was offered Akira, but I already had my plate full with a couple of films. Why would you want to take up something if you cannot give your 100 per cent to it?”

True, that. Also, we think Vishal-Shekhar have done an amazing job with the music of the film.
