BritAsia TV Punjabi Film Awards 2019: Gippy Grewal and Sonam Bajwa win big, winners list out!

On Saturday 30th March, BritAsia TV held the Punjabi Film Awards 2019. Some of the biggest Punjabi names from the industry had flown to London especially for the celebratory night.

To celebrate and honour the Punjabi film industry BritAsia TV hosted the second annual Punjabi Film Awards on 30th March 2019 at the Grosvenor House Park Lane, JW Marriott Hotel in London. 'Carry on Jatta 2' the Punjabi blockbuster was crowned the biggest film. However, on Saturday night the romantic comedy won five awards including 'Best Film', 'Best Actor', 'Best Actress' and 'Best Director'.

The prestigious event was hosted by UK Punjabi Singer Juggy D and radio presenter Harpz Kaur. The audience got to see fantastic performances by Juggy D, Mannat Noor, Sidhu Moosewala and Jordan Sandhu.

Some of the biggest Punjabi names like Gippy Grewal, Sonam Bajwa, Harbhajan Mann, Binnu Dhillon, and many more from the Punjabi film industry were also present at the prestigious event.

The song ‘Qismat’ featuring Ammy Virk has won the ‘Best Soundtrack’ award and the film song ‘Laung Laachi’ won appreciation with ‘Best Song’ and ‘Best Female Singer’. Gurinder Chadha won the special recognition award and Harbhajan Mann won the outstanding achievement award. The event was a huge success, with all the winners and nominees being deservingly acknowledged for their contribution to Punjabi cinema and for their outstanding work.
