Harrdy Sandhu Recalls Having NO MONEY To Pay For Rent And Car Installments; Says, ‘Gave 3 Hit Songs But I Wasn’t Getting Any Shows’
Punjabi singer and actor Harrdy Sandhu had once opened up about the rough phase of his life. In an old interview, he had delved into the details of his past and recalled a time when despite his music being loved, he didn’t have money to pay for his car installments and rent in Chandigarh. He shared how he had to start acting in movies so he could sustain himself.

Known for keeping the details of his life private, Sandhu started his career with slow-paced music. While his song Soch was a hit, he had to take up acting as a career path. He had told Man's World India in 2020, “In 2013- 2014 after Soch, I did seven to eight shows. As a Punjabi, I have this fascination with luxury cars and I decided to buy one for myself.” ALSO READ: Harrdy Sandhu Gives Credit To The Choreographer Who Made The Hook Steps Of ‘Bijlee Bijlee’ A Big Hit; Watch The Video

He shared how even after giving three hit songs, Harrdy didn’t get any shows. He said, “I gave three hits songs, Soch, Joker and Saah, but after a point, I wasn’t getting any shows. All of my songs were slow and I couldn’t perform anywhere despite having a lot of fan following. I didn’t have any money left with me to pay for my car installments or even my rent in Chandigarh. I have been through days when my bank balance was low. It was also at this point that I started doing movies to make money and do more commercial music.”

For the unversed, Harrdy made his acting debut in 2014 with Yaaran Da Katchup! He had recently made the headlines for recreating his song ‘Bijlee Bijlee’ for Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Govinda Naam Mera.
