Having made a mark for himself in the music industry, he is currently out for an India tour where he opened up about a horrific experience he went through. A video of him sharing how he was harassed and molested by a middle-aged lady on the stage during a wedding show has now gone viral on social media, leaving fans enraged.
The video was uploaded on the subreddit Bolly Blinds N Gossip, a few days ago, with the caption, “Harrdy Sandhu about how a middle-aged woman molested him.” Talking about the incident that happened almost two years ago, he revealed how a lady in her mid-30s to 40s wanted to dance with on the stage. Initially, he refused by stating that other people would also join them. However, since she was persistent, he gave in. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, the 37-year-old added, “I said, ‘aap aa jao’. She came up and requested to dance with me on a song. I said, ‘Okay, let’s do it’. We danced on one song and I said, ‘Okay, now are you happy?’ Then she went on to ask, ‘Can I hug you?’ I said okay. Brother, she hugged me and she licked my ear. Now, think about it. What if the roles were reversed? What could I have said? As soon as the video surfaced the internet, it left the fans enraged. One commented, “But according to the Indian judicial system, a woman cannot sexually assault/molest a man.” Another commented, “Yikes, if a huge celebrity like him had to suffer...” One wrote, “damn! that's so shocking and upsetting. like how do you carry out your performance after that? so CREEPY. I hope he left / complained after that.” Another wrote, “This needs to be taken seriously. A lot of adult women think it's okay to simp on minors. I see this happening a lot in k-pop. And they think its okay. It's so inappropriate.”
