Fans have been eagerly waiting an update on Rishab Shetty starrer Kantara 2, which is said to be a prequel for the first part
Rishab Shetty starrer Kantara became one of the most loved and celebrated pan-Indian movies in 2022. The fans have been eagerly waiting for the next instalment of the blockbuster ever since the team made the official announcement. Well, if recent reports are to be believed they have finally completed the scripting stage of the project, which had commenced in March 2023.
According to the reports by IANS, Rishab, who directed the Kantara and also played the lead role, and his team have given final touches to the script of the upcoming sequel. As per the sources, quoted by the news agency, the producer Vijay Kiragandur as well as Rishab are very happy about their progress. The report also states that the actor and his team have started hunting for locations despite the rains. The reports further state that if everything goes according to the plans, then the team will be ready to shoot the movie by June 2023. For the unversed, Kantara follows the journey of Shiva, a descendant of the family that traditionally performs ‘Bhoota Kola’, a form of worship widely practised in coastal Karnataka. Written and directed by Rishab Shetty, Kantara was produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda under Hombale Films. While Shetty plays the lead in the movie, it also stars Sapthami Gowda, Kishore, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, Prakash Tuminad, Naveen D Padil in pivotal roles. Apart from Kannada and Hindi, the movie was also released in Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu.
