South actor Dileep who was accused of assault and kidnapping Bhavana Menon in 2017, has heaved a sigh of relief. As per the latest update posted by ANI News, the Kerala Court has restrained the cops from arresting the actor till January 18. The actor as the court proceeding took place was accused of threatening the officials investigating this matter. The news agency’s Tweet read, “Kerala High Court restrains police from arresting actor Dileep till Tuesday (January 18) for allegedly threatening officials probing 'actress assault case'”
The actor was accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting Bhavana Menon in Ernakulam district of Kerala in 2017. The incident happened when she was returning home from a film shoot in 2017. The actress who remained tight-lipped about this unpleasant incident in her life for five years finally opened up in the latest Instagram post. Her post on Instagram read, “This has not been an easy journey. The journey from being a victim to becoming a survivor.”
She continued, “For five years now, my name and my identity have been suppressed under the weight of the assault inflicted on me. Though I am not the one who had committed the crime, there have been many attempts to humiliate, silence and isolate me. But at such times I have had some who stepped forward to keep my voice alive. Now when I hear so many voices speak up for me I know that I am not alone in this fight for justice.”

Prior to this, the Malayalam actor after being accused by the actress had filed a plea in the court to quash the allegations filed against him.
