Marakkar Lion Of The Arabian Sea: Mohanlal's Next Period Drama To Release In August 2021 In Theaters
Marakkar Lion of The Arabian Sea was earlier slated to release on May 13, however, due to the current Covid situation; the makers have yet again postponed the release date. This is for the fourth time the release of Marakkar has been pushed.
Mohanlal's Marakkar was originally slated to release last year on March 26, 2020, however, due to the pandemic; the makers pushed the release to 2021, March. But as the situation remained the same and the theatre ran on 50% occupancy the team decided to have an Eid release. Unfortunately, the second wave of Covid yet again forced the makers to push the release for the fourth time, and this time the film is slated to release in theaters on 12 August 2021. The actor confirmed the same through a poster on Instagram. Soon after Mohanlal announced the release date fans can't control their excitement.
Ever since the makers dropped a song and a teaser from the film, fans have been eagerly waiting for the release. However, the new announcement has brought joy amongst the fans as it not long before they get to see their superstar on the big screen.
Mohanlal's Marakkar is a period drama set in the 16 century. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and also features Manju Warrier, Suniel Shetty, Keerthi Suresh, Arjun Sarja, Suhasini, Prabhu, Siddique, Nedumudi Venu in the lead. Marakkar has bagged awards for the best special effects and best costume design at the 67th National Film Awards.
