Actor Suriya's Soorai Potturu Now In Hindi: Kollywood's Oscar-worthy Film Now Being Adapted By Bollywood
Soorai Potturu remake in Hindi, director Sudha Kongara working on script now!
The blockbuster Tamil movie, “Soorai Potturu” that directly premiered on Amazon Prime Video in November 2020 was a partly inspired story from the life of Air Deccan founder Capt G R Gopinath.
The acclaimed Tamil actor Suriya Sivakumar has proved his mettle in Tamil and Telugu films. As we know, the actor is avid on social media and always expresses his feelings and updates with the personal and professional movements to his fans. Recently, the actor has updated his Instagram handle with an exciting announcement for his fans. The actor captioned the post – “Excited to announce our association with @Abundantiaent led by @ivikramix for #SooraraiPottru in Hindi, Directed by #SudhaKongara “. There is good news for Suriya’s fans that the blockbuster Tamil movie “Soorai Potturu” is being remade in Hindi as well. The fans are overwhelmed with happiness and expressing their love by posting emojis of love, fire, and love in the comment section.
Suriya-starrer “Soorai Potturu” was directed by acclaimed director Sudha Kongara was based on the real events of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath, and Suriya Sivakumar essayed the role of Nedumaran Rajangam. As per the reports about a Hindi remake for the movie was initiated, now the Hindi remake is adapted.
Reportedly, the remake will also be directed by the popular Tamil director Sudha Kongara. The movie will be produced in collaboration with Vikram Malhotra's Abundantia Entertainment in association and Suriya's 2D Entertainment. About the remake “Soorai Potturu” in Hindi, Suriya said, "The love and appreciation that was showered on Soorarai Pottru was unprecedented. From the minute I heard this story I felt this has to be a pan India film because of the soul of it is such. It gives me immense pleasure to partner with Abundantia Entertainment, who have always made quality content, to tell the inspiring story of Captain Gopinath in Hindi."

The team is still in deciding procedure that who will play Suriya’s role in the Hindi version. The whole character and cast of the film are yet to be finalized. “Soorai Potturu” Tamil was directed by Sudha Kongara and the prominent star cast was Aparna Balamurali, Mohan Babu, Jackie Shroff, Karunas, Kali Venkat, among others.
