Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Shares The New Poster Of Mani Ratnam's Magnum Opus Ponniyin Selvan; Part One To Hit The Screens In 2022
The new poster of ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam's upcoming period drama "Ponniyin Selvan" is finally out and it has already left fans beyond excited for the film. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who will be a part of the magnum opus took to Instagram to share the poster and also revealed when the first part of the film will be released. For the uninitiated, Ponniyin Selvan is based on a book by Kalki Krishnamurthy.

Apart from Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, it also stars Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha Krishnan, Jayaram, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Prakash Raj to name a few. Sharing the poster, Aishwarya Rai wrote, "The Golden Era comes to life.. Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan.. PS1." She also revealed that the film will be released in two parts and the first one will be out in the year 2022.

Fans reacted to the poster in the comment section. One fan wrote, "Waiting for your appearance in it..Aishwarya Madam," another wrote, "Wowwww". A third user dropped a comment saying, "Wow Great! Really it's a Golden Era." The poster was also shared by Karthi on his Twitter. Set in the backdrop of Chola Dynasty, Ponniyin Selvan's dialogues have been penned down by writer B Jeyamohan.

In a recent media interaction, the director while promoting his upcoming production, Navarasa, confirmed that about 75 per cent of the shooting has been completed and the rest he is looking forward to completing in Hyderabad or Madhya Pradesh.
