Rajinikanth's upcoming movie, Lal Salaam, is poised to feature a song sung by late artists Bamba Bakya and Shahul Hameed, sparking discussions on AI in music. AR Rahman clarified that their voices were employed with proper consent from their families. The Oscar-winning composer advocates for the positive application of AI, asserting, "Technology is not a threat or nuisance when utilized correctly." Notably, in Lal Salaam, the track 'Thimiri Yezhuda' stands as the first instance where the voices of late singers have been officially resurrected for an album. This comment from the music maestro has left the internet divided, a user wrote, "Next we want to see SP Balasubrahmanyam's voice. Whereas, another user wrote, "As a fanboy for three decades now, though appreciating your ready synergy with any futuristic tech and innovations, this feels a tad odd and unconvincing, sir." 




Lal Salaam marks the directorial comeback of Rajinikanth's daughter, Aishwarya. Rajinikanth takes on a cameo role as Moideen Bhai. The lead roles are portrayed by Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth, supported by a talented cast including Vignesh, Livingston, Senthil, Jeevitha, K. S. Ravikumar, and Thambi Ramaiah. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on February 9.
