Asuran Star Dhanush Pens An Earnest Thank You Note After Winning National Film Award; Says ‘I Never Imagined I Would Come This Far’

The winners of the 67th National Film Award were announced yesterday. While this award ceremony was earlier scheduled to take place last year, it had to be postponed owing to the Coronavirus pandemic. Dhanush won big at the National Film Awards. He bagged the Best Actor award for the Tamil movie ‘Asuran’. Not just that, the best Tamil film was also awarded to Asuran. It was a big moment for Dhanush, and he took to his social media to pen a heartfelt note in which he thanked everyone who helped him in his journey.
Dhanush took to his social media and wrote about winning the prestigious award for Asuran, and how it is such a blessing. “I woke up to this amazing news of being honoured with the prestigious national award for ASURAN. To win one best actor award is a dream, to win two is nothing short of a blessing. I never imagined I would come this far,” he wrote. He began by thanking his parents, guru and his brother. Further, he expressed his gratitude to director Vetrimaaran, revealing that when he first met him, he never thought he would become a friend, companion and a brother.
He also thanked the National Award jury, and the producer, as well as the entire team of Asuran. “I thank my producer Thanu sir for all the support. I thank my entire ASURAN team especially my family, my dear Pachaiyamma Manju, my Chidambaram Ken and my Murugan Teejay,” he wrote. Dhanush also expressed his gratefulness to the media, and his fans.
