R Vijaykumar's upcoming film, Azhagiya Kanne will show the everyday struggles women face. Talking about the movie, Vijaykumar said '' It’s a heroine-based story. In today’s fast-paced city life, there is no time for people to enjoy or experience the joys of staying in a joint family. That concept of Koottu Kudumbam is almost non-existent because the city culture is not very conducive for it. In such a scenario, how does a girl who got married to the love of her life and has a child live? What are the struggles she faces? We’ll be narrating this in a very entertaining manner,'' This inspirational and eye-opening movie will star Sanchita Shetty as the female lead role along with Leo Sivakumar who'll be making his debut as an actor through this film. Sanchita will be playing the role of a Madurai girl who comes to Chennai to work in IT.
Azhagiya Kanne is a Tamil women-centric movie that is inspired from a real-life incident. The shooting of the movie will be held in Madurai and Chennai. Ashok Kumar will be handling the cinematograph and N R Raghunath will be composing the music for this upcoming film.
