Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth has announced their separation after 18 years of marriage
Dhanush announced his separation from his wife Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth on Monday night. The actor took to Twitter to share a statement and asked people to respect their decision and give them privacy. The news of their separation has left many fans shocked.
His statement read, "18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting... Today we stand at a place where our paths separate... Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please do respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this. Om Namashivaaya! Spread love, D."
Aishwaryaa also shared the same statement on Instagram and concluded it by adding, "Much love always to you all :) God speed. Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth." Reacting to the news of the separation, a fan dropped a comment saying, "I can't believe it is heart-breaking." Another commented, "This is way too shocking but all the best to you guys."
Aishwaryaa is the daughter of superstar Rajinikanth. Dhanush and Aishwaryaa tied the knot in 2004. They are parents to two sons, Yatra and Linga.
On the work front, Dhanush was last seen in Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re. He shared screen space with Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan in the same. Up next, he will be seen in The Gray Man, Maaran and Vaathi. Aishwaryaa, on the other hand, is a filmmaker.
