Drishyam is a first-ever Tamil and Indian movie that broke the stereotypes of the Tamil industry and brought an understanding of the crimes going on in the world. From becoming the first-ever Indian film to have made a re-make in Chinese (Mandarin) to making a remake in Hindi this movie has been an inspiration to the audience.
Drishyam was released in 2013 and was a hit worldwide and it's still gaining an audience. Mohanlal who was seen as a lead actor in the movie recently revealed that the sequel of the film will be releasing in 2021. It was later revealed that Drishyam's sequel is going to be titled Drishyam 2 and the trailer of this upcoming film was released on 9 February 2021. Talking about Drishyam 2 Mohanlal said ''The film picks up the pace with the excitement and suspense going several notches higher in the second half going on to become a nail-biting thriller. Since one already knows the back story in 'Drishyam 2', the pressure comes in naturally as our story is in competition with itself. Having said that, I am confident that the audience will love the story and the movie." After watching the thrilling trailer of Drishyam 2 fans were left surprised and in suspension. Drishyam 2 is a Malayalam language family thriller written and directed by Jeethu Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor. It's a sequel to their 2013 film, Drishyam. It features Mohanlal, Meena, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil in the lead roles.
