Indian 2: Negotiations Between Shankar And The Producer Fail; Madras High Court To Hear The Case Again In June
For the uninitiated, Indian's producer Lyca Productions had filed a complaint in court against the director Shankar and appealed for a stay to stop Shankar from beginning the works for his new film. The judge, who heard the case last week, had asked the director and producer to have a discussion and find a solution for the film. And now, as per latest reports, it looks like Shankar and the producer failed to do so. Due to that, the matter will be heard again in the Court.

As per a report in Times of India, the case will be heard again in the Court in the month of June. Reportedly, Shankar assured to finish the movie between June and October, but the makers wanted him to finish the project by June. The same led to disagreement between the producer and director and the negotiation failed. Now the case has been adjourned for the next hearing in June.

It is speculated that the dispute between them will result in the shelving of the film together. The movie features Kamal Haasan in the lead role with Kajal Aggarwal, Siddharth, and Rakul Preet Singh.

After COVID-19, the makers of the film wanted Shankar to slash down the production costs to which he did not agree. And now, the producers of the film, Lyca Productions filed a case against him in the Madras High Court seeking a ban on him to direct any other film before the completion of Indian 2.
