Kanguva Teaser OUT: Suriya-Disha Patani Starrer To Release In 10 Languages; Director Siva Says, ‘Film Is Set 1500 Years Ago’
Suriya took to his official social media handle to announce his upcoming movie ‘Kanguva’ co-starring Disha Patani
National Award-winning actor Suriya is all set to star in Siva directorial ‘Kanguva’ co-starring Disha Patani. On Sunday, the actor took to social media to announce the title of his 42nd feature film which has left the fans excited. The actor took to Instagram to share the teaser poster of the movie, with the caption, “Sheer joy working with Siva & Team on this mighty saga. Happy to share the title look of #kanguva.”
It is being reported that the movie will be released on the big screens in 2024 and will be dubbed in 10 languages. The movie is being billed as a “mighty valiant saga.” In an interview with Cinema Express, director Siva opened up about the project and revealed that the movie isn’t a fantasy project. He went on to share that the title of the film means, “a man with the power of fire,” clarifying that Suriya’s character won’t be having any superpower.
Shedding light on the concept of the movie, Siva told the entertainment media publication that the movie is a fictional tale set 1500 years ago in an imaginary world. He said, “The film is set 1500 years ago, and uses elements from ancient Tamil culture as well as other cultures from all over India. Kanguva is a fictional story set in an imaginary world with strong historical references and facts.”
While Devi Sri Prasad will be composing music for the movie, Kanguva will be produced by UV Creations and Studio Green. The makers of the movie will be releasing it in 3D for the fans to enjoy the grandeur.
