Nayanthara-Vignesh Shivan Wedding: OTT Giant Declines The Offer For Digital Streaming Of The Couple’s Marriage Ceremony For The Whopping Price 25 Crores- Reports
Power couple Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan got married on June 9, 2022, in a resort in Mahabalipuram in presence of close family and friends from the industry. It was a glamorous and glitzy ceremony. Reportedly, the newly wedded couple had sold the rights of their wedding to the OTT giant Netflix, however, the OTT platform broke the deal and has refused to stream their wedding.

Netflix has dismissed the deal to stream Nayanthara and Vignesh’s wedding ceremony on their platform for the whopping amount of Rs 25 crores. The offer was declined because Vignesh Shivan shared a series of pictures of his wedding with Nayanthara on his Instagram handle marking the one month of nuptials. The pictures he shared were with his celebrity friends Shah Rukh Khan, Rajnikanth, and Mani Ratnam who attended the grand ceremony.

Apparently, the ‘Pebbles’ director shared pictures of the star-studded ceremony as he thought that if he will delay more in sharing the pictures and fans might lose interest in their marriage ceremony.

However, Netflix’s decision has saddened Nayanthara as well as fans.

Interestingly, as per the reports, Netflix has covered the entire cost of a wedding. From booking rooms in a five-star hotel in Mahabalipuram to the food worth Rs 3500 per meal and even the glass tower on the beach. Although, Make-up artist and security arrangements were done from Mumbai.

The couple had arranged lunch for about a lakh people across the state as a part of their wedding. They provided food to the poor and all old-age homes in the state and served food to 18000 children. ‘Annadanam’ was done in the selected temples as part of their wedding. Their wedding was in the limelight and was the centre of all eyes. Their wedding was indeed a grand affair!
