In wake of COVID-19 2nd Wave, most businesses are forced to change their operating principles. Entertainment Industry is one of them. As people are forced to stay home so the film industry has changed the mode of releases from Theatres to OTT. In the same way, Paramapadham Vilayattu is the latest Tamil film to opt for a straight-to-streaming release through Disney and Hotstar. Trisha and Vijay Varma starrer is set to premiere on the OTT platform on April 14, on the occasion of Tamil New Year.

The producer of Paramapatham Vilaiyattu has taken to his Twitter handle poster of the movie. He captioned the post as – “Here’s wishing team #ParamapathamVilaiyattu and director K.Thirugnanam a very successful Tamil New Year release on April 14th on @disneyplushotstarvip."  The fans and Tamil entertainment fraternity are pouring their love by retweeting the tweet.


The story of Paramapatham Vilaiyattu is a thriller based and now the film joins the league of Tamil films such as Soorarai Pottru, Penguin, Ponmagal Vandhal, Mookuthi Amman, and Bhoomi, that missed theatre release during this pandemic.

Paramapadham Vilayattu is directed by debutant K Thirugnanam. The other prominent star casts are Nandha, Richard, AL Azhagappan, and Vela Ramamoorthy.

On the working front, Trisha appeared in multiple films across Tamil and Malayalam, including Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan and Jeethu Joseph's Ram and Mohanlal.
